First time staying here and we all loved it. The location was great an nice walk into Siena. We felt very comfortable and welcomed there. Would highly recommend it and will go there again hopefully soon.

Wow! My son and I stayed here and we could not be happier with the entire stay. The host Gianni was so warm and welcoming He made it such a pleasure! The room was very comfortable. The setting was fantastic. I will definitely go back again next trip to Italy!!

We really enjoyed out stay at Podere Il Pero. The accomodation was lovely, private, and Gianni and his family were very helpful. The breakfast was very generous, and the dining area comfortable. Travelling with a baby who was crawling, it was lovely to have the outside garden space to relax in. There was plenty of parking space for our hire car.

It was a bit challenging walking with a stroller on the road down to the main road, as there is no curb or footpath, but we used our car to get around, so there was no problem with that for us.

Il posto migliore dove siamo stati in Italia!!!! Questo bello hotel offre quello che stiamo cercando a Siena, un ambiente accogliente, pulito, bello, e anche Gianni e la sua famiglia estremamente gentile! La colazione è deliziosa, preparata da sua madre con le frutte e noci raccolte dal giardino. Gianni è molto attento e ci ha dato ottimi consigli su Siena e San Gimignano. Podere Il Pero is not clean, it is immaculate. Gianni (the owner) is an extremely courteous host and is always willing to help with advise on the area or to function as a concierge with local restaurants. I cannot recommend staying with him strongly enough. We WILL stay here again on our next visit to Sienna. Thank you Gianni, we sincerely enjoyed our stay at Podere Il Pero.

Quedé plenamente satisfecha de mi estadía en todos los sentidos: el trato personalizado y afectuoso de Gianni, esos desayunos buffet espectaculares, y el esmero en la estética y en los detalles de la habitación.

Yo les recomendaría incorporar de alguna manera acceso a Internet, ya que me parece un servicio indispensable para cualquier tipo de turista en nuestros días.

Incredibly helpful staff with excellent English. Being a little outside the city centre, we were able to leave the car and take a bus into town.

We would have liked more detailed directions on how to find Il Pero.

This is the best B&B I have stayed in. Gianni and his family could not have done more to make my friend and I feel at home. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, the beds comfortable and the house and garden have retained all their original rustic charm. There are fruit trees in the large garden and a shaded gazebo area for reading. Giovana's breakfasts were beautifully set out and catered for all tastes..fresh fruit, juices, cheese, tomatoes, hard boiled eggs, home-made cakes, pastries and jams, all kinds of tea, and coffee..and more. The walk into town takes about 20 minutes, at the end of which is an escalator which reaches up into Siena's historic centre. The roads are lit at night. For those who do not wish to walk Gianni will give you information on where to buy bus tickets and also nearby trattorias..we sampled two and both were good. He is always available to provide answers to questions an give advice when required. I highly recommend this B&B and very much hope to return one day to visit a family whom I felt were our friends when we left.

Very hospitable family. Host and his entire family were always so very helpful, great advice, help with reservations, restaurant advice, travel, made us not only feel welcome but did everything possible to make our Italy trip the truly happy and memorable. The mom made the most wonderful breakfast home-made sweets and home-made jams, fresh fruits, bread, great breakfast not found anywhere else! Peaceful relaxing setting, quiet, gorgeous gardens and flowers, large rooms and bath, clean, quiet, very comfortable. Incredibly convenient to Siena, Florence, hill towns. Stayed a week, totally awesome!

Siamo stati completamente soddisfatti dal soggiorno presso questo B&B. Il proprietario è stato estremamente cortese e l'ospitalità è uno dei punti di forza. Bellissima struttura appena fuori le mura, ti consente di arrivare tranquillamente a piedi in centro senza soggiornare in una zona rumorosa. Dovessimo tornare nuovamente a Siena, non ci penseremo due volte a prenotare nuovamente qui!

Quality of the food and room fittings The friendly service and effort of the owners who could not do enough to help. The outlook over the valley

Proximity to the road and the lack of sound-proofing of the rooms - A lot of road noise and windows not double glazed to keep traffic noise out. Plus we were in the ground floor apartment under three upstairs rooms. The sound insulation was poor and could here every footstep made by our upstairs neighbours.

If travelers are seeking a quiet place to stay, this is not the one.

Podere Il Pero is a B & B I look forward to staying in again. It is very close to Siena and in a central location to reach all the lovely little towns in Tuscany. The rooms were lovely and they have a beautiful appartment on the lover level. The grounds were beautiful with every fruit tree imaginable, we especially loved the fresh figs. Gianni (Johnny), the son, is so pleasant and helpful. He assisted during many difficult situations. His Mother is, likewise, very, very pleasant and hosts a beautiful breakfast every morning. Her homemade jams and pastries were outstanding ... with something freshly baked every day. I heartily recommend this as a home away from home. You will arrive as a guest and leave as a friend.

It was a little closer to the main road than I had originaly planned. It was in the country side but you could here a little traffic in the distance. That was also an advantage, however, since we were near Siena and the main roads which took us to all the other destinations.

We LOVED the staff. Podere Il Pero is a little bit out of town, but we found the accomidations totally worth it. We felt like we were always treated like we were the most important guest. (My friend even had a cold and was given some amazing cough drops and syrup....made our stay so much better).

The service was excellent and the breakfast was very, very good. Our room was lovely and the location for us was perfect, just a quick bus ride to the centre of Sienna. The staff couldn't do enough to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We wish we had been able to stay longer.

There was a little traffic noise in the evening but this did not stop us from getting a good nights sleep.

Breakfast provided many choices and was slightly different each day. Service was great and Gianni was helpful with suggestions for day trips and recommending taking the bus. The room was clean and tidy with wonderful views. Great for a B&B just outside of Siena city -- nice walk but also bus option

Bus only ran until 8:30pm from Siena, so if you stayed out, its walk (some narrow streets) or taxi. We chose to walk, which was fine, since it was down hill!

We stayed at il Pero for just one night (unfortunately) last week and had a lovely stay. Gianni the owner made us feel very welcome and was extremely helpful - he offered to go out of his way to take us early morning to collect our car hire which we really appreciated. Gianni even offered us a choice of 2 bedrooms - hard to choose as both were lovely! 'Mum's' delicious home baking & cherry jam was also a favourite :) All in all, if you like to stay in a 'home from home' then 'Podere il Pero' is perfect for you... Homely, welcoming and cosy with all the attention to detail you could possibly ask for. If we ever pass by Siena again we'll definitely return and we highly recommend it to you!

Gianni is extremely helpful and friendly and speaks very proficient English. He responds to enquiries very quickly on the Internet and goes out of his way to assist. The quality of finishes in the B & B is excellent and full of character. The breakfast was superb, and full of variety - we enjoyed our stay tremendously!!

Perfect stay! Gianni the owner is on site most of the day, his English is excellent. He prepares breakfast and is around to be helpful. He enjoys being "a tour guide" offering insite into places to go. He really enjoys his work and it shows. Rooms were suites which were spacious and up to date. TV works good with 3 English Channels, wifi was free and was excellent in room,room has desk. Parking is secure and spacious. Location is both in town and in country. Views are of country side yet the location is a 5 minute drive to Old Siena and a 15 minute drive to train station. Very near expressways that go all over Tuscany. Electronic store nearby to buy electrical adapters if needed. Gianni helped us find a coin laundry in Old Siena where we washed clothes. Gianni has a free washer on site and clothes line for sun drying of your laundry. Breakfast was excellent, great variety. Many sweet things,coffee,ham and cheese,croisants,cakes,yogart,hard boiled eggs,bread,jams cereal. Small play ground for kids, large several acre property,spacious breakfast room.Great stay and great value and terrific staff/owner.

Il soggiorno presso questo bed and breakfast ha soddisfatto a pieno le mie aspettative! Le camere sono curate nei minimi particolari, il proprietario è molto cordiale, a colazione c'erano sempre dolcetti fatti in casa e marmellate fresche. Trovo che il prezzo sia adeguato per i servizi offerti. Gianni (il proprietario) è un'ottimo ristoratore!!!

The room we stayed in was beautiful and very comfortable. Clean, clean, clean. We esp. appreciated the pressed white linen towels in the bathroom. Superb view out the window. Walkable distance to town. Huge breakfast selection. The manager let us use his personal computer to check email. Very accommodating!

tutto perfetto! il proprietario Gianni è una persona squisita; il b&b è in una posizione comodissima, in 20 minuti a piedi sei in centro; il frutteto e il giardino offrono un bel colpo d'occhio; ok la pulizia delle camere e del bagno; la colazione abbondante e deliziosa (specialmente i dolci e le marmellate fatti in casa) è la ciliegina sulla torta! per quanto mi riguarda consiglierò a chi vuole andare a siena di fermarsi qui.

la struttura è davvero meravigliosa, anche la disponibilità dei proprietari è eccellente; peccato la posizione parecchio distante dal centro, ma è il pegno da pagare per essere immersi nella natura.

titolare/personale qualificato, cordiale, disponiile, famigliare; ambiente confortevole , molto gradevole, pulito, originale; ubicazione a pochi passi dalle mura dela citta', non serve l'uso della macchina per entrare in siena ed allo stesso tempo si è immersi nel verde della toscana. facilissimo l'arrivo diretamente dalla superstrada. buone le info da parte del personale per visite culturali della città dintorni.

non vi sono aspetti negativi.

A beautiful house with a real Italian feel. The family are magical, very helpful and so friendly. Although you are outside of the city walls, it was a short walk, with the thrill of the cities escalators to take you inside the city. The description was perfect and the directions spot on. Perfect.

Very reasonable cost for the quality, with serene, beautiful surroundings. Not to mention Gianni was friendly and helpful. Wonderful home-baked/cooked breakfast. Rooms were fantastico!

I loved my stay. Gianni was incredibly hospitable, the breakfast was delicious and the standard of accomodation excellent. I initially thought the location was not convenient but then found it easy to get into Siena by feet or bus. I loved sitting out in the garden and relaxing, it was terrific.

The host was so friendly and helpful. He helped us call for a cab for the next morning, even giving the cab driver HIS phone number in case of problems. We wish we could have stayed longer. The location was great, a short walk from the city center, but far enough out of the center that you couldn't hear traffic, only crickets and roosters.

don't trust cab drivers in siena! we called the night before to reserve a cab for 6 am so we could make the train to florence. there are no buses that run that early! anyway, our cab driver never showed up, and since we had a train to catch, had to walk to the train station with bags in tow, down a 2 and 4 lane highway!

The B&B was clean with beautiful internal and exterior spaces. The rooms were big. The toilet clean with all essential. Without noise from the street. Breakfast with a lot of different goods of food. The service was exceptional and friendly.

The communal refrigerator was small.
