Great location, very close to San Marco square. Actual building did not look great from the outside but the house itself was lovely....room was very clean and had private bathroom. There was noone there to greet us but the hostess was there in the morning and was very friendly and helpful. Price was more reasonable than any other offer we got but still more expensive than other parts of Italy. Overall, would recommend.

Breakfast.......just coffee and croissant.

I found the owner cheerful and wecoming and she offered excellent suggestions for things to do and restaurants to eat at. The property was beautifully decorated and maintained and immaculately clean. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property to anyone looking for a bed and breakfast in an excellent location, excellent value, lovingly decorated and the owner was lovely.. attractive surroundings, comfortable and very tasteful room. Outdoor breakfast/sitting area very pleasant. Coffee for breakfast very good made by husband who was very pleasant

No one available to met us as had been previously arranged at San Silvestro.

No one to greet us when we arrived at B&B, only gained entry with the intervention of another guest who also had to show us to our room. This made us feel as if we were not welcome guests but in fact a hassle for the B&B owner. Only spoke to female owner on the phone, she was very hesitant about providing breakfast at 8.30 even thought hat time was noted on info for guests

Ci hanno particolarmente soddiisfatto i gestori Flo e Hugo, che sono stati gentilissimi e disponibili, dandoci molte informazioni sulla città. La stanza era ordinata pulita spaziosa ed accogliente. La posizione della struttura è ottima, permette di visitare tutta Venezia a piedi. Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo. Consigliamo anche a famiglie con bambini come la nostra questa sistemazione.

My wife and I stayed at Al Pozzo in June 2010 for two nights after our cruise and had a wonderful time. We had a nice large room and adjoining bathroom, both very clean and comfortable. Great location in central Venice, right on Campo San Polo but very quiet. Just 10-12 minutes walk to San Marco or Piazzale Roma bus station and only 2-3 minutes from the San Silvestro vaporetto station. Small but very nice and quiet terrace for breakfast. The owner, Florence, was fantastic. Quick responses to our emails and lovely to chat to, with very helpful advice on what to do, where to go and where to eat.

Nothing. We loved everything about our stay.

Very Little

I requested confirmation as to how to get there from airport as email provided clarity from train station not airport. I did not get a response. I called to say we had been told to buy a ticket for water taxi no 4 to Rialto Bridge and was that in order. Definite language barrier. We then arrived at the wrong side of the Rialto Bridge and the language barrier resulted in us dragging 3 x 30kg suitcases over the bridge (one of the travellers required assisted service for travelling and was forced to climb the bridge and walk for almost 1km) unneccessarily. We had to ask for glasses so we could have something to drink. The owner did not stay there so we were unable to ask questions or get guidance. The owner came in to supply breakfast on the first day at the time stipulated but on the second day arrived at 9:15am - 45 mins later than stipulated - knowing we had to leave to catch a train at 9:00am. There was only enough room for 1 group to eat at a time so the other occupants were forced to go out for coffee knowing that we would apparently eat first. The seating was outside and it was raining. There was no soap in the bathroom. We had to serch for toilet paper and found some in a cupboard outside the room. Generally not equal to comparitive stays elsewhere in Italy. A great disappointment.
