Superb terrific location and views with very friendly staff, I can not say enough about how lovely the place and staff were, it was a family run hotel with no rush attitude, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will tell everyone who visits siscily to go to this wonderfull hotel, and its terrific views. The whole family were lovely and very friendly. Anyone who doe not stay for the evening food has got to be crazy as the value and quality was excellent. YOU MUST ENSURE YOU FOLLOW EXACT DIRECTIONS as its a little off the beaten track, but well worth anyones visit even if its only for the evening meal alone as its a superb restaraunt, and makes a terrific place to hold a wedding or celebration party. Thanks Alfredo terrific!!!!

Hot water was very slow to appear, and no air conditioning were the only draw backs, although there was a fan and the whole place has just been totally rebuilt. So it may be something that they are going to install.

1 - la situation, dans la nature et avec une belle vue sur une vallée, la mer et les iles eoliennes 2 - la cuisine du restaurant, extra (risotto aux agrumes, bons antipasti, pâtes aux pistaches et speck...)! 3 - les bâtiments, bien restaurés, et la déco appropriée 1- the site, in nature, with a nice view over the valley, on the sea and islands 2- excellent cooking (from antipasti to risotto and pasta). 3- the building itself, well restored and nicely decorated

1- le bruit sous les fenêtres de la chambre, en soirée (clients du restaurant fumant à l'extérieur). L'utilisation de l'autre terrasse préserverait les clients de ce désagrément.

1 - evenings can be noisy because customers of the restaurant smoke under the windows of the guest rooms. The use of the other terrace would be preferable.

The Villa Rica was really, really wonderful! Set up high in the mountains just south of Patti, this organic farm of orange, lemon, apricot, and olive trees has a view of the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Eolian Island that will leave you breathless or pinching yourself to make sure it's not a dream! The Villa Rica is a family run B&B, with 3 brothers, 1 sister and their Mom. This family is incredibly nice, friendly, warm, and laid back,... and they run a great B&B. Our room was in the newly and very tastefully renovated stone millhouse and our balcony opened up to the sea and that priceless view. They also have a first class, family run restaurant on the first floor of the stone millhouse that artistically incorporates the mill machinery that was used there at the site, years ago. As my son and I had no car, one of the brothers, Alfredo, kindly picked us up from the train station in Patti, and took us to the farm. When we left the Villa Rica, another brother William, graciously took us to the town we were going to next. Kudos to William for introducing me to the music of Fabrizio De Andre, a fine Italian singer songwriter, with a musical style kindred to the American songwriter, Leonard Cohen. The family run Villa Rica makes you feel right at home,... like family.... And oh yes! Did i mention the fantastic outdoor pool?!!!
