Wonderful place, cosy interior, friendly people... one feels like in a mountain fairy tail. Scenery is breathtaking in the morning! AND Tio is just lovely :)

We loved the beautiful location and the friendly staff!! Location was about 10 min drive from a great part of the lake, and the view was wonderful! We loved the quiet! Would definately return, if we have the chance.

Beautiful rustic location in a wonderfully 'isolated' spot. Scenery fantastic, excellent local walks. Accomodation in beautifully converted farmhouse and outbuildings. Our room was clean, comfortable ans spacious. En suite facilities fine. Although would have been nice to have tea/coffee facility in the room. We purchased a litre of the casa red wine and sat on our balcony drinking from the local pottery wine 'glasses' (rather like small soup bowls!), watching the sun go down. Wonderful. Food excellent, I can recommend the braised donkey. Over all we would thoughly recommend this venue. We will definitely return when in the area again.

Staying at AlMarnich was a delightful experience and contrast to fine hotels and inns in the lake area. Eventhough the season had ended for farming, we enjoyed both the results of the farm (delicious breakfasts and dinners) and walking through out the farm imagining the plants in season. The hospitality was cordial, interesting and helpful. Agriculture and tourism make a wonderful recipe.

When we arrived our room was not made up so we had lunch (long wait, bad service, small portions). Our room was still not made up after lunch so we drove into Como to give them more time to get their act together. The room was very cramped. Al Marnich was much further out of Como than we had thought and the road was extremely difficult to drive.

We had a great and warm welcome on Friday evening, like you come home, and following a delicious dinner with wine. We enjoyed the breakfast in the morning with all what you need motivated by the impressive view of the valley. Its a great place to be and it is worth to come back.

It rained hard in the night we arived and it rained into our room. But due to the great hospitality and service of the landlord and his family he offered us a cozy penthouse room and we enjoyed the nature more intensive.
